The Neumeyer farm comprises 40 acres of vine parcels in the northern part of Alsace (Bas-Rhin). Organically farmed since 2010, Jérôme Neumeyer has now fully taken over winemaking at the domaine since his father Gérard’s passing in 2019. Though the style of wine is still precise and very well executed, Jérôme has his own philosophy, being involved in the new generation wave of Alsatian wine makers. Going beyond his father’s organic hand tending of the parcels, Jérôme has started to adopt biodynamic principles as well.

Harvest is executed with multiple passes over 4-5 weeks to capture optimum maturity, aiming for the right acidity in the white varieties and balance for the Pinot Noir. Grapes are handpicked and from vineyard to the cellar, gentle handling of the delicate grapes is of paramount importance. In the cellar, every measure is taken to ensure that both the terroir and individual character of each variety is fully expressed. The wines are aged on their lees in large, older, oak foudres. The wines are made with focused acidity, minerality and finesse.

Domaine Neumeyer’s wines are perennially ranked among the appellation’s best by Guide Hachette, Bettane & Desseauve and La Revue du Vin de France. Their perfectly situated vineyards are planted to all four of the appellation’s noble varieties; Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer as well as Muscat.

100% Riesling

Riesling 'Les HOSPICES'

This Riesling’s clear yellow body with the gilded reflections is limpid and brilliant. Its nose reveals citrus scents. In the mouth, it has very beautiful continuity of citrus fruits, supported by a light flexibility. Harmonious and with a long finale.

100% Pinot Blanc

This Pinot Blanc shows the earthy side of the varietal. Juicy, ripe and almost plump notes of pear play on the nose. Balanced by flavours of zesty lemon curd, apricot and smoke. A briny mineral note lingers on the fresh finish. For fans of a more traditional style Alsacian.

100% Chardonnay

A solid Alsacian crémant. Notes of yeast and pear on this wine’s almost raw nose are immediate and fresh. The palate still carries that yeasty funk but blossoms into freshness with its supple tiny bubbles. On the palate the dry, medium-bodied crémant is medium-plus in acidity with tart, pleasing fruit.
