The majestic, 1,615-acre property includes over 215 acres of sustainably farmed hillside vineyards with elevations ranging from 800 feet to 1,615 feet. It is located high in the Vaca Mountains of the eastern Napa Valley.
The Somerston Estate represents the future of these two amazing properties, blazing a trail into the future and becoming a leader in Napa Valley. Their sole mission as a grower is to cultivate and preserve the property to its full potential.
Their estate grown, limited production wines are produced from 100 separate blocks for the discerning collector. With each vintage, they individually select the blocks used to create these wines. Focused on producing Bordeaux style wines that reflect the quality and unique nature of the property.
Vivio Vineyard (Bennett Valley) is located in the northern part of the Sonoma Valley. The aromatics of this Syrah are highlighted with white pepper, black currants, and tequila. The palate is full of blackberry, crushed spice and fresh meat. This wine is balanced with smooth tannins and bright acidity. The finish is long and lingering.

This Grenache Blanc is an aromatic white wine with bright aromas of white peach, melon and honey suckle. The palate is sharp with good acidity and minerality with just a touch of tannins. Hints of bright stone fruit, Asian pear and citrus.

This crisp wine has hints of white peach, melon and tropical passion fruit that are inviting on both the nose and the palate. There is a balanced amount of acidity that leads to a refreshing crispness on the finish.

Deep inky purple. The aromatics are herbal with a hint of black pepper overtones. On the palate, this wine has hints of black pepper, plums blueberries and licorice. This tannic wine has a firm texture and mouthfeel on the finish.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a full bodied wine. The rounded mouthfeel is persistent in the long and lingering rich finish. On the nose, there are hints of black cherries, black currant and licorice while on the palate there are hints of cassis and plum.

Sweet licorice, black and red currants, camphor and a touch of charcoal jump from the glass, of this opaque ruby/purple coloured wine. Medium to full-bodied, it exhibits complex elements in both its aromatics and flavor profile. It is full-bodied, rich, layered and ideal for drinking over the next 10-15 years.

A brilliant, complex Cabernet Franc full of currant, licorice and cherry notes. On the palate one feels a definite gravity of fruit enlivened by a racy acidity and anchored by a graphite-like minerality. Whiffs of hardwood smoke, tobacco and spice elegantly weave their way through the plump dark fruit.

The wine has a sweet core of blackberry and cassis fruit, an opaque purple color, gorgeously integrated new oak with a suggestion of toast and a full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel and finish. This is a stunner to drink in several years as well as over the following 25-30.
